How To Increase Your Wealth in Two Days

Without a question in my mind there is real wealth and there is fake wealth.

Those with tons of real wealth are infinitely more interesting and charismatic persons because they have a command over what is really important for leading a meaningful life: Love, education, spiritual experiences, cultural experiences, personal development, contribution, meaningful work, health and so forth.

As a pleasant side affect of having real wealth is they also tend to have an abundance of fake wealth. Fake wealth like nice homes with 5 bathrooms and heated kitchen floors, money, fast cars, the latest gadgets, killer wrist watches that work underwater, boats to cruise up and down the coast line. Amazing!

Fake wealth was once real wealth maybe 100+ years ago when success and survival were the same thing, but success is no longer based on survival. No longer based on who can get the most resources…even if it is more than they need, even if it’s at the expense of everyone else. No.

A paradigm shift is occurring and I can almost see through the hazy image of what will be in the future.

The misguided nature of the present world is to focus on fake wealth. We are literally living in the past currently. Everyone wants to know how to get more fake wealth. How to get more money so they can impress girls that don’t like them, how to get more money so they can buy that plastic surgery procedure, how to get more money so they don’t have to sit in a cubicle day after day, how to get more money because they have no money right now. I say misguided because the focus would be better placed on accumulating real wealth which will lead to the fake wealth they think they want (and need).

This is all understandable. When you operate as most do at a base level of survival all these things are important to some degree.

It sucks when money dictates your decisions but that is how it is for most. While I consider the accumulation of mass piles of money to be fake wealth…money is none the less important in a capitalist society. My personal goal is to make money as much of a non issue in my life as possible. I will do this by accumulating my own pile of cash so cash no longer governs my decisions on where I can or can not go, what I can and cannot do. The way to increase fake wealth like big piles of cash is to not focus so much on fake wealth like most do but to rather focus on increasing your real wealth.

Increase your real wealth, that’s the secret no one told you.

Focusing on school so you can get a good job so you can go back to school to get another job so you can finally live and retire is the current life template. It’s not working for a whole bunch of us. We wake up in our condos or apartments and traverse the long distances to a job where we sit and think of ways to up end our mediocre life. The idealism of adulthood, that is having the home, the job, and car… turns out to not be particularly fulfilling as we thought. Why am I not happy god damn it!

You have tons of fake wealth but very little real wealth…so you’re piss poor morally.

Real wealth is not about stuff anymore. As I said in the beginning it’s about quality of life, education, cultural experiences, spiritual insights, personal development, contribution…all of which are completely and utterly intangible and immeasurable in the traditional sense of valuing property.

The cool thing about fake wealth though is if you want more of it all you need to do is give what you have away. Why? Because you will get back more than what you put out AND you will still have what you gave in the first place. You can give all day long if you want…or three times a week as I do with this site :)

The way you get more real wealth by giving what you have away is because…

you increase your escape velocity over time. Plain and simple, you need people and people need you. This site won’t go anywhere without readers. I wouldn’t be inspired to keep on publishing content without the regular emails, Facebook messages, comments, and Tweets telling me my work matters. Knowing that I am creating content that others care about, even if it’s just for a small audience at this time (if you consider 600 regulars and 5000+ monthly visitors small…I do actually.) is really important to me. Otherwise whats the point?

When you increase your escape velocity little by little everyday, eventually you will be able to upend and reject the mediocrity that surrounds you. Don’t only focus on giving away real wealth to others by teaching, loving, caring, and giving a damn, (this also increase your capacity to feel more deeply and to give more deeply), also steal real wealth away from the mediocre people and relationships in your life. Give less and less time to those who are selfish and instead surround yourself with exceptional people.

Raise the hurdles to raise the stress

Take a challenging job or apply for a job that has impressive and competent people working. Volunteer for organizations that have high caliber people. Network with people who are where you want to be. Once you find such people, give to them and expect nothing in return. Build the relationship, even if it’s one sided at the beginning.

Luck and success is the residue of design and this residue will rub off on you eventually. If I want this site to be cited by the Huffington Post or the New York Times I could wish and hope to get lucky and be mention… or I could do my very best to build a relationship with someone who works there. With some luck and design I could get mentioned and it will help put this site on the map. Increasing this sites escape velocity.

The same concept applies to your own day to day life. Success and real wealth are achieve by nothing more than having the right mindset….and a level of patience and persistence. To give, to help, to provide, to be useful to others should be your way of life. Actually it will be a way of life. The old time of valuing fake wealth is gone. New wealth is where it’s at and you and I have an amazing opportunity to become incredibly wealthy. Will you join me?

Spend tomorrow thinking of one person you can help mentor to increase their escape velocity.
Spend tomorrow thinking of one person who can help you increase yours. Find where they hang out.

The next day help that person who needs help. Send them an email, arrange a time, do the work. Do what it takes. Then being the process of networking with that successful person. Start small, send an email, join an organization they are apart of, find a way to give value and usefulness to them. Again do what it takes.

So that’s it! You have just increased your real wealth in two days, and half the battle was just showing up. Rinse and repeat this for the rest of your life and you will become a very wealthy person.
